Description

 

This position requires a ServiceNow Developer/Configuration Specialist with experience supporting Software Asset Management (SAM)  IT Business Management (ITBM), and IT Operations Management (ITOM). Tasks include, but are not limited to, ServiceNow development/configuration, unit testing, integration, and configuration management. Work consists of the development, configuration, and integration of a ServiceNow solutions and/or upgrading existing solutions to meet customer and project requirements while using software engineering standards and tools. This may also involve unit testing, software/system integration, configuration, interface testing, creation and maintenance of software documentation.

 

 

Requirements

  • Review requirements to design and develop solutions based on the ServiceNow platform and applications
  • Experience with the following Web Technologies: such as Java, Ajax, APIs, HTTP(s), SOA, SOAP, REST, CSS, XML, HTML, and JSON
  • Familiarity with Automated Testing tools
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance applications on the ServiceNow ITSM platform
  • Implement configuration/customization of the ServiceNow application and facilitate the rollout of new modules and configure Application UI and workflow
  • Perform unit testing and assist with quality assurance
  • Support the team in ServiceNow operations such as User/ Group administration, reporting, metrics, SLAs, etc.
  • Collaborate effectively with ServiceNow users and stakeholders to develop solutions and execute changes
  • Support and enhance reporting solutions both within ServiceNow and through external reporting solutions to support the customer's requirements
  • Communicate with the customer in non-technical terms, understand their business requirements, and provide suitable solutions
  • Prepare and maintain up to date documentation (requirements/design/test/as-built application architecture) for internal and external customers
  • Contribute to the team's efforts to consistently meet the KPIs and goals set by the customer

Education / Experience

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related technology field
  • Preferred

    • Certification as a ServiceNow System Administrator (CSA)
    • Certification as a ServiceNow Developer
    • Understanding of agile and traditional software development life cycle (SDLC) approaches is desired
