In this role, a typical day will include: 
  • Leads and supports Strategic IT Enterprise Architecture (EA) and Planning to successfully deploy enhancements and features in the IT ecosystem and operating environment.
  • Develops and continuously updates the business architecture, information systems (IS) architecture, and service models to make sure they align with DOS business requirements and reflect CCS capabilities.
  • Reviews and supports the enterprise architecture and makes recommendations for realignment to better serve the needs of DOS.
  • Analyzes the existing business architecture and performs gap analysis to identify any deficiencies and incorporates improvements into the architectures and service models.
  • Performs gap analysis to identify those automations that can benefit Customer Endpoint services and provides architecture and design support to implement the needed configurations.
  • Identifies enhancements to data models that will yield benefits in meeting DOS business requirements.
  • Performs gap analysis, determining the extent to which the extent architecture aligns CCS capabilities with the business requirements
  • Takes inventory of the artifacts related to either the business or enterprise architecture and the service models.
  • Meets with stakeholders and SMEs to establish priorities, identify which realignments can be completed quickly and which model changes represent long-term realignments
  • Updates architectures and service models using the priority of work supported by SMEs and approved by IRM.
  • Makes sure the architectures and service models promote standardization, service integration, and efficiency of existing and planned business solutions.
  • Uses an iterative cycle to maintain and improve architectures and service models to attain alignment with DOS business requirements and capabilities.
  • Aligns all data models, data dictionaries, and other data artifacts with the enterprise architecture.
  • Coordinates continuously with users and other stakeholders to identify useful data and IT services.
