work depends on a Configuration Analyst joining our team to

support our government client’s  activities in the Northern Virginia locations.

At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Configuration Analyst supports and

manages the responsibilities of the successful completion of all tasks in assigned projects. • •Provides configuration management support to assigned projects

• Manages the Configuration Items (CIs) for a large-scale program

• Ensures our Configuration Management (CM) baseline is updated and maintained to a high degree of accuracy

• Performs regular audits of the CM baseline

• Works closely with Project Integrator to incorporate relevant changes to the baseline

• Integrates CM tracking/ticketing systems, ensuring all changes to the operational environment can be traced through the documentation and approval process

• Participates in special projects as required.

 

Required Qualifications:

• TS/SCI with Polygraph

• 5+ years of experience with Configuration Management or Systems Engineering in an IT environment

• Ability to facilitate meeting with Program and Government personnel

• Ability to manage project schedules and help improve site CM processes

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Detail-oriented

• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

• Extensive knowledge of MS Product Suite (Word, Excel, SharePoint)

 

Desired Qualifications:

• Knowledge of Agile methodology

• Configuration Management Database (CMDB) experience

• Experience documenting/developing CM processes

• Familiarity with ServiceNow

• ITIL certification(s) or training, including ITIL Change Management certification

• Bachelor Degree in a related technical or military discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work/military experience.

• Ability to prepare and conduct briefings to diverse audiences

• Ability to create project documentation

Because of the sensitive nature of the work being done for this government client, all candidates must hold a TS/SCI and be willing to take and pass a Polygraph if requested.
