GDIT has an opportunity for a growth oriented and execution focused Vice President level leader to join our team in leading one of our business sectors focused on Civilian federal government agencies. This sector currently supports a variety of IT, mission and business operations focused programs across a dozen different agencies, including Commerce, Postal Service, Interior, Labor, GSA, GAO, Legislative agencies, as well as refugee and immigration programs that span multiple agencies. GDIT is a leader in IT related systems and operations support, IT infrastructure, Cloud enablement, application development, and AI/ML, as well as mission-oriented programs which support the core of our customer’s objectives.

This position will have full Profit and Loss (P&L) responsibility for a $400M+ business and report as one of the key operating sectors to GDIT’s Federal Civilian Division Senior Vice President.
This position will require full P&L responsibilities to deliver projects and win new business in the civilian market related to GDIT core capabilities. Specific responsibilities include:
Building and managing an effective and efficient team focused on high quality delivery, financial performance, and client relationship development
Developing a short and long-term growth strategy with related tactical execution plans that will drive top line and bottom line growth for the team
Partnering and leveraging the group and company business development assets to build a robust and targeted pipeline of opportunities, and to pursue, propose and win new business as well as re-competes of existing business
Engage the leverage services arm of the company to bring our capabilities in cloud, infrastructure, applications development, AI/ML and related services to existing and potentially new clients
Build a culture throughout the team consistent with GDIT values around commitment, impact, integrity, imagination and agility
Will be measured against specific revenue, operating income, and contracts award metrics consistent with a growing enterprise, as well as business relationships internally and externally, and leadership impact with our teams and our clients
Qualifications In order to be considered:
Bachelor’s degree required. Minimum of 10 years progressive experience in managing/leading IT services programs; experience leading full P&L responsibilities for a portfolio of programs
Experience managing a diverse portfolio of IT and mission focused business operations in the Federal civilian market
Experience running a $100M+ P&L account
Proficiency in building a business strategy that drives growth and execution
Leadership qualities that translate into business outcomes – specifically around team building and cohesion, client relationship development, and strategic thinking around enterprise business matters
Demonstrated experience and success mounting new business capture campaigns, and hands-on engagement in developing capture strategy and proposal development.
Established hands-on experience managing programs of significance – both execution and financial focus
Ability and flexibility for travel both local and within the US
Solid communication capabilities, both verbal and written
This role requires a focused and experienced portfolio manager who understands and can grasp and operate all aspects of the business to include innovation, and impact in growing the business
Demonstrated experience building strong customer relationships and driving business growth is of paramount importance
Prior successful leadership in directing and overseeing strategic pursuits in collaboration with Business Development and Capture Executives, Delivery Leads and Proposal Development leads in the professional and technical services arenas
