Systems Administrator manages, monitors and maintains computer networks, troubleshoots and resolves system errors and inefficiencies, and ensures that computer systems are operating smoothly and efficiently.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manages the functionality and efficiency of a group of computers running on one or more operating systems. (Windows Server and Linux)

  • Maintains the integrity and security of servers and systems.

  • Maintains system documentation.

  • Develops and implements backup recovery.

  • Develops and implements application testing strategies and document results.

  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.

  • Maintains and provides the guidance and troubleshooting for the virtual and physical infrastructure architecture enclaves within the network boundary.

  • Implements DISA STIGs and IAVM patching for all systems within the network enclave boundary.

  • Participates in special projects as required.

Desired Experience:

  • 3-5 years experience

  • Experience with Microsoft Server 2012/2016 or newer to include Active Directory, Radius, DNS and Group Policy

  • Experience with virtual environments (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.)

  • Familiar with maintaining and operating HBSS and ACAS scans

  • Familiar with maintaining and operating SQL server

  • Experienced in applying patches/updates and STIGs


  • Candidate must have a certification meeting DoD approved 8570 IAT level II baseline (CCNA, Sec+, CySA+, etc.) minimum Security +
