At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As an Enterprise Training Specialist supporting the customer, you will be trusted to work in an operational as well as a “schoolhouse” environment training customer tools and tradecraft. In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Develop Training Materials
  • As an IT Training Specialist supporting the customer, you will be trusted to develop course material and lead classroom training in a variety of customer applications and search tools. In this role, a typical day will include:
  • Working on a dynamic team of Enterprise IT Training Specialist to conduct training, learning, and/or instruction in a classroom environment.
  • Identifying training and documentation requirements
  • Preparing all instructor and student materials
  • Producing training and document plans
  • Instructing classes of 10 or more students
  • Performing web-based training for technical tools
  • Travel to domestic and foreign locations for short-term training TDYs

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experienced conducting training, learning, and/or instruction in a classroom environment.
  • Prepare all instructor/student materials. Instruct classes of 10 or more learners.
  • Experienced developing web-based trainings for technical tools (i.e. laptops, projectors, video conferencing systems/equipment. Willingness to learn new tools.
  • Strong understanding of Boolean logic and query (especially ‘wildcard’) writing.
  • One to two years experience in computer programming, preferably in SQL.
  • Ability and desire to travel to domestic and foreign locations for short-term training TDYs.
  • Previous experience with mission desktop technologies including Summit and CORE.

Writes and updates project documentation including procedures, presentations, and training materials.

Performs functional allocations to identify tasks and their inter-relationships.

Consults with clients to determine optimum design for assigned projects.

May provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced analysts.

May serve as a mentor to less experienced analysts.

May serve as team or task lead. (Not a people manager)

Serves as advisor to clients in assigned subject areas, recommends functional changes, and identifies areas for further investigation.

Generates recommendations in the form of briefings, reports, and other major documents provided to senior level client personnel.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: BA/BS (or equivalent experience), 8+ years of experience
