With an internationally dispersed team supporting each combatant command, the US BICES-X team is in direct support of the war fighter and their missions. We are seeking a creative and driven professional with a passion for solving real world issues on a cross-functional, fast paced team. 

The Systems Architect will work on complex IT architecture projects with full competency in data gathering, artifact development, presentation, and completion of Enterprise Architect (EA) models. Apply design theories and principles to researching, developing, and reviewing EA products. Recommend innovative technologies that will enhance the presentation and usage of EA products.

Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with subject matter experts in various fields to capture and design integrating strategies across multiple IT systems.
  • Captures existing designs across multiple systems in formal enterprise architecture modeling tools
  • Manage and rationalize requirements defined across multiple customer sets and IT systems
  • Work with stakeholders to facilitate alignment of business strategies, operational processes, and IT strategies related to current and future-state architecture changes
  • Leverage enterprise methodologies and patterns
  • Utilize data to develop architecture models, visualizations, and analyses to clearly articulate the current and future needs
  • Analyzes customer needs and provides guidance on industry trends and opportunities.
  • Identifying and documenting architectural requirements supporting future Enterprise needs, including goals, approach, Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M), and desired end state for each milestone
  • Responsible for developing high level system design diagrams
  • Evaluates analytically and systematically problems with work flows, organization and plan and develop appropriate corrective actions.
  • Work with enterprise planners to develop high level schedules and plans for system modifications and improvements to support future requirements.
  • Willing to learn new tools to capture enterprise architecture models and diagrams.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of Systems Engineering experience required.
  • Demonstrated experience with enterprise architecture
  • Must possess and maintain a Secret Clearance; TS/SCI Preferred
  • Bachelors and Master’s degree required – may substitute additional years of experience
  • Security+ CE Certification

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with systems that operate across multiple security domains
  • Experience with software defined infrastructures
  • Experience conducting analytical studies including enterprise architectures
  • Experience developing DoDAF-compliant enterprise architecture
  • FEAC-Certified Federal Enterprise Architect
  • PMI-Certified Project Management Associate
  • ITIL – Foundations certification
