GDIT's Military Health team is hiring a Dissemination/ Implementation Specialist to support the Traumatic Brain Injury Center of Excellence (TBI CoE) located at HQ in Silver Spring, MD.
TBI Coe promotes state-of-the-science traumatic brain injury care from point-of-injury to reintegration for service members, veterans and their families. Our goal is to help the Defense Health Agency provide optimal patient outcomes, leading to a medically ready and a ready medical force.
Position Summary:
Implementation science is the scientific study of the methods to promote the uptake of research findings into routine healthcare in clinical, organizational, or policy contexts. The presence of gaps between knowledge and practice is well documented and the incumbent is expected to be well versed in the range of strategies available to overcome these gaps.
In this role you will work with TBICoE’s Clinical and Dissemination teams in order to ensure the efficient and effective implementation of products are throughout the MHS. They are responsible for coordinating with the clinical and educational SME’s to develop strategies to optimally disseminate and implement state of the science recommendations and other valid clinical practices for TBI care across the MHS. The candidate will plan and participate in the identification, collection, analyses and presentation of key dissemination and implementation findings. They will also be responsible for developing and implementing strategic implementation plans for TBICoE products. They will present recommendations to the Government on how to improve the dissemination and implementation of clinical best practices. Under the guidance of the government oversight, s/he will work with regulatory bodies, and support protocol development and management as required for dissemination and implementation efforts.
