As an Administrative Assistant III, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Many tasks required of this position are transactional in nature, but based on level of expertise and interest the incumbent may be offered more autonomous tasks for which they can take ownership
This is a significant "customer relations" type position as the Administrative Assistant (AA) should have a proven ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of personnel within the sponsor organization, Intelligence Community, and other Government Agencies, as they will interact with a wide range of junior and senior personnel
Duties will range from obtaining office supplies, taking on vault custodian duties, organizing meetings (within the department and across the sponsor), and greeting senior officers as they arrive in the vault for meetings
The AA should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, exceptional lime management skills, and demonstrate resourcefulness under pressure
The AA should be comfortable working in an ambiguous environment with fast-changing requirements and/or competing priorities. Strong interpersonal skills to gather task information, project requirements, project specifications from customers and to maintain effective working relationships with team and customers. Given the sensitive nature of some conversations, discretion and the ability maintain confidentiality is a must
The AA should possess a demonstrated ability to serve as an example of positive interaction, collaboration, and a customer-oriented, can-do attitude to all office staff, visitors, and colleagues across the sponsor organization
The AA may be asked and should be able to teach, train and guide less experienced administrative support personnel. Prior sponsor experience is preferred as an understanding of mission, customers, protocol, procedures, etc. would be helpful
The role has no physical requirements or travel requirements. This position is for 1.0 FTE/1860.0 hours with a standard 40 hour work week
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
HS Diploma and 3 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
TS/SCI with Polygraph
Core Hours are 9:00am - 3:00pm
Candidate must be able to operate in a team environment as well as successfully work on their own
