GDIT is seeking a Configuration Manager to help support an exciting new Cloud Service Offering contract, Defense Enterprise Office Solutions (DEOS), in Fort Meade, MD. This position will require the employee to report onsite at least 3-4 days a week.
NOTE: This position is contingent upon contract funding and tasking.
The Configuration Manager will:
Supports configuration management planning.
Describes provisions for configuration identification, change control, configuration status accounting and configuration audits.
Supports configuration planning.
Identifies and maintains the original configuration of requirements documentation, design documentation, software, and related documentation.
Responsible for configuration change control.
Supports the change process so that only approved and validated changes are incorporated into product documents and related software.
Responsible for configuration status accounting.
Tracks all problems and changes in product documents and software and reports changes and current configuration.
Responsible for configuration audits.
Supports audits to verify that requirements of all baselines have been met by the as-built software.
Supports the software quality assurance process audits.
Analyzes user needs to determine functional and cross-functional requirements.
Performs functional allocation to identify required tasks and their interrelationships. Identifies resources required for each task.
Active DoD Top Secret clearance
Associates Degree in Computer Science, or equivalent experience
8 years experience
Experience with process development and process management
Experience tracking and guiding project/task status from initiation through completion
Experience with commercial cloud services
Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative, fast-paced, growth-focused environment
Strong and effective communication and presentation skills
Strong attention to detail and highly organized
Able to report onsite as indicated above
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science
Experience with AWS, Azure and/or GCP cloud services
