Our work depends on a Engineering Services Lead joining our team to support Customer activities at Herndon, VA.
At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As an Engineering Services Lead supporting the Customer, you will be trusted to work on innovative solutions that will transform and enhance the Enterprise IT environment to meet the growing global mission. In this role, a typical day will include:
Lead matrixed engineering services and billing/telephone management; coordinates with Complex Project Lead and Project Managers to provide engineering services; coordinates product and vendor engagement.
Performs discovery, gap, remediation and knowledge gathering on non-incumbent work (e.g., SOPs, technical specifications, survey data, templates, designs, security documentation, and product roadmaps) to ensure warm hand-off of existing Engineering tasks to contract team members.
Provides on-the-job Engineering Services task training/shadowing and cross-training for new personnel.
Establishes and refines vendor/manufacturer relationships with all vendor/manufacturers and Service Partners (SP) to obtain over-the-horizon industry roadmaps and strategies for technology/tools for optimization on program.
Performs tools assessment on existing Engineering support tools and provides improvement recommendations for Phase 2 transition consideration.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
Bachelor's Degree (in an IT-related field)
11+ years or relevant experience
TS/SCI w/ Polygraph
Certifications: Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (R)
