o FAA Information Security and Privacy (IS&P) Program and policy, demonstrating experience applying the IS&P Program and policy when working with the RWSL, or a comparable system, for the FAA,
o Department of Transportation’s (DOT) policies and guidance defined in DOT Order 1351.37,
o Departmental Cybersecurity Compendium: Supplement to DOT Order 1351.37 Departmental Cybersecurity Policy (as amended), June 2015, Version 4, hereafter referred to as DOT Compendium, Cybersecurity Action Memos (CAMs),
o DOT policy documents with FAA-specific policy, Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP), and guidance, and
o Security issues such as malicious threats, system vulnerabilities, or attacks and how to prevent or mitigate them in systems as complex in scope as RWSL. The Government will judge IT security competence by reviewing the resumes submitted to check for number of experience years and level of complexity for the systems worked.
Monitor and analyze Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) to identify security issues for remediation.
Recognizes potential, successful, and unsuccessful intrusion attempts and compromises thorough reviews and analyses of relevant event detail and summary information.
Evaluate firewall change requests and assess organizational risk.
Communicates alerts to agencies regarding intrusions and compromises to their network infrastructure, applications and operating systems.
Assists with implementation of counter-measures or mitigating controls.
Conducts regular audits to ensure that systems are being operated securely, and information systems security policies and procedures are being implemented as defined in security plans.
Implements, enforces, communicates and develops security policies or plans for data, software applications, hardware, telecommunications and information systems security education/awareness programs.
Ensures the integrity and protection of networks, systems, and applications by technical enforcement of organizational security policies, through monitoring of vulnerability scanning devices.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: BA/BS (or equivalent experience), 5+ years of experience
