General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking a Systems Engineer Senior with strong cloud experience who holds active DOD Secret clearance. Site location: remote.
The Mobile User Objective Systems is the Defense Department’s next-generation narrowband military satellite communications system. It will support a worldwide, multiservice population of UHF band users, providing increased communications capabilities to smaller terminals while still supporting interoperability with legacy terminals. MUOS is designed to support users that require mobility, high data rates and improved operational availability. The system will provide greater than 10 times the system capacity of the current UHF constellation. GDIT has the opportunity to staff the Scottsdale, AZ, GD Mission Systems program with a select group of Systems Engineers and Testers. As a MUOS Systems Engineer, you’ll participate in requirements analysis and management, functional analysis, performance analysis, system design, trade studies, systems integration, and test (verification) in the development and evaluation of networks and information systems. Engineering positions are remote. Tester position, to test hardware and software, are required to be in the Scottsdale, AZ facility two to three days a week to test/verify in a secured environment.
Systems Engineers will assist in the development, implementation, and tuning of management and monitoring tools needed to ensure the DEE is operating within optimal performance parameters.
Required Skills:
Experience designing and defining cloud system architecture for new or existing computer systems
Experience building/managing servers in the AWS (Amazon Web Services) environment
Experience with cloud/server/network/storage implementation and support
Experience with VMware implementation and support
Experience maintaining up-to-date documentation, and prepares documentation for infrastructure changes
Desired Skills:
Experience working in Agile teams
Active DOD Secret Clearance
Certification with cloud technologies
Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering

The likely salary range for this position is $84,000 - $126,000, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
