GDIT is looking for SAP ABAP Developers to support USPS in Eagan, MN.

This program only accepts US citizens and/or Green Card Holders. The security clearance for this program requires the selected candidate to have resided in the US for the past five years. The selected candidate cannot have left the country for longer than 90 consecutive days and no more than 180 cumulative days.


Bachelors Degree in a Computer Science or related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.


  • Ten (10+) plus years of experience
  • Experience designing and building SAP Fiori interfaces is required
  • Knowledge of Windows application interfaces (COM, Win API, ODBC, OLE, DDE, HALAPI), Unix, SQL, HTML, and relational databases (HANA preferred)
  • ABAP programming including RICEF, Adobe forms, ABAP Web Dynpro, Object Oriented programming, BSP, Interfaces and Workflow ,BAPI, ALE, RFC, Web Services, NetWeaver, PI
  • Experience in developing custom apps using SAPUI5, CSS3, JavaScript, and JQuery
  • Detailed knowledge of SAP HCM Process and Forms
  • Experience developing SOA based interfaces using SOAP or REST based Web Services Interfaces
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in developing interfaces using ALE/IDOCs development including ABAP programming for IDOCs and IDOC customization.  Has significant experience developing with IDOC (SAP Intermediate Document), Use of BAPI, ALE, RFC and Web Services
  • Knowledge of object oriented programming and ABAP is required
  • Strong programming knowledge in SAP HCM modules including OM/PA, eCareer, EHS ECT
  • End to End development and configuration experience in ESS and MSS
  • Knowledge of NetWeaver XI / PI
  • Development experience in OData services with SAP NetWeaver Gateway
  • Proven programming skills with SAP software and associated programming tools: ABAP, the SAP developer’s workbench, SAPScript, Smart Forms, Adobe Life Cycle for SAP
  • Ability to transform business function requirement into technical program specs and to code, unit test, and debug SAP programs
  • Understanding of relational databases, data storage, and SQL concepts. Understanding of data structures and data objects
  • Ability to mentor experienced IT professionals
  • Strong computer skills, especially in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to produce high quality deliverables and work in an environment with competing priorities
  • Ability to obtain a USPS clearance


  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum processes and management tools such as VersionOne
  • Knowledge of and experience in an IT Service management System (preferably ServiceNow) and ITIL processes
