GDIT is seeking a M365 Systems Architect to help support our Defense Enterprise Office Solutions (DEOS) contract.
As a M365 Systems Architect, you will support major architecture changes to an Office 365 tenant environment, to include new service offerings, major changes to integration points (e.g., identity provider), future efforts, new tools required by the integrator, or future cybersecurity implementations. This support will include design reviews, testing events, accreditation packages, and required documentation for major releases. Present solution designs to various stakeholders for input, buy-in and sign-off. Leads the development and implementation of large and complex IT solutions. This includes architecting the solution, piloting, first time implementation, documentation and standardization for repeatable deployment. This role serves as escalation from Level III engineer support requiring a deeper knowledge of systems or development.
HOW AN M365 SYSTEMS ARCHITECT WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
Provides input to maintain currency and compliance of system environments – keeping current of changes for vendor, security and platform releases.
Provide Infrastructure Support Assistance which includes informal advice, guidance and knowledge transfer intended to help the Government implement Microsoft Office365 Microsoft technologies in ways that avoid common support issues and decrease the likelihood of system outages. These services support the resolution of problems that are not directly attributed to Microsoft Office365 products including:
--- Errors caused by the customers networking infrastructure, hardware, non-Microsoft software, operational procedures, architecture, IT service management process, system configuration or human error.
--- Problems with key enterprise service dependencies (e.g., Global Directory, Domain Name Service, Application Delivery Controllers)
--- Multi-contractor coordination interoperability problems. When the resolution requires, the contractor shall collaborate with third-party software suppliers to help resolve complex multi-contractor product interoperability issues.
Leads communication internally to team, management and other key leadership.
Effectively communicate at a senior leadership level.
Serves as a leadership resource for developing strategy and effective project implementation; clearly articulates the resource needs and works with others to obtain resource commitments.
Acts as a lead among junior Solutions Analysts and Engineers.
Ensures resource availability and allocation; identifies need for resource augmentation and prepares recommendations.
Perform evaluation of system alternatives and assessment of risks and costs.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED - REQUIRED:
CLEARANCE: Active DoD Secret clearance
CERTIFICATION: IAT Level II Certification
EDUCATION: Bachelor of Science or Arts Degree in related field
YEAR’S EXPERIENCE: 10 years of experience (additional years of experience and/or certifications may be considered in place of education)
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
--- Experience with MS Office 365 design, governance, deployment, and migration and integration, including Microsoft Azure support functions
--- Expertise in developing, maintaining, and contributing to technical and process documentation
--- Expertise with application of DoD Cloud Computing Security Requirements Guide (CC-SRG) and SCCA Architectures including Cloud Access Point (CAP) architectures
--- Industry recognized cloud engineering/architecture or security certification(s)

The likely salary range for this position is $139,200 - $208,800, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
