Our work depends on a Cyber Security Analyst Senior joining our team for our Applications, Infrastructure, and Systems Support Third Iteration (AISS III) contract at Scott AFB Il. 

HOW A CYBER SECURITY ANALYST SENIOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

  • Uses data collected from a variety of cyber defense tools (e.g., IDS alerts, firewalls, network traffic logs) to analyze events that occur within their environments for the purposes of mitigating threats.

  • Interprets, analyzes, and reports all events and anomalies in accordance with computer network directives, including initiating, responding, and reporting discovered events.

  • Evaluates, tests, recommends, coordinates, monitors and maintains cybersecurity policies, procedures and systems, including access management for hardware, firmware and software.

  • Ensures that cybersecurity plans, controls, processes, standards, policies and procedures are aligned with cybersecurity standards.

  • Identifies security risks and exposures, determines the causes of security violations and suggests procedures to halt future incidents and improve security.

  • Develops techniques and procedures for conducting cybersecurity risk assessments and compliance audits, the evaluation and testing of hardware, firmware and software for possible impact on system security, and the investigation and resolution of security incidents such as intrusion, frauds, attacks or leaks.

  • Provides guidance and leadership to less-experienced cybersecurity personnel.

  • Part of team that manages all of the remediation actions for the entire Distributed Enclave as well as managing the POAM process for any high priority findings that cannot be cleared within the USTC mandated 21 days.

  • Compile a remediation bundle every week that contains all of the

  • necessary COTS patches for the environment.

  • Track the remediation efforts and coordinate actions with all parties (engineers, system admins, and gov't).

  • Draft all POAMs required for USTC signature.

  • Experience with ACAS vulnerability scans, Access Database, patching, and POAMs.


WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • BA/BS (or equivalent experience), 9+ years of experience

  • CompTIA Security + Certification

  • SECRET Security Clearance
