We are seeking a Cloud Developer Sr. Advisor to support a Navy Military Sealift Command (MSC) project that is a multi-year cloud modernization effort to bring the Navy NOC in Pensacola, FL, into the cloud.
The Navy’s Military Sealift Command (MSC) is an organization that controls the replenishment and military transport ships of the United States Navy. Military Sealift Command has the responsibility for providing sealift and ocean transportation for all US military services as well as for other government agencies.
These will be remote positions with 50% travel required. We anticipate a start date by 10/1.
Typical duties for you include:
Analyzes customer requirements and provides technical expertise on cloud cluster computing techniques and technologies of high complexity.
Research, evaluate, and deploy advanced cloud computing systems and large data analytics.
Assists customers with data integration and migration efforts, including mapping schemas and defining domain specific ontologies
Analyzes and defines security requirements. Designs, develops, engineers, and implements solutions computer security requirements. Gathers and organizes technical information about an organization’s mission goals and needs, existing security products, and ongoing programs in the computer security arena. Performs risk analyses which also includes risk assessment. Provides daily supervision and direction to staff.
Develop large data technologies, algorithms, and applications.
May assist with the development of large data technologies, algorithms, and applications.
Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
Provides guidance and leadership to less-experienced cloud development personnel.
Provides technical expertise in designing, architecting, deploying and maintaining cloud solutions.
May serve as a team or task leader (not a people manager)
BS degree: additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree
12+ years of experience of which at least ten years must be specialized experience in defining computer security requirements for high level applications, evaluation of approved security product capabilities and resolution of computer security problems in cloud environments.
Desired: Azure, AWS, VCP, CCNA, CISSP
Security +; Must meet DOD 8750 requirements and be eligible for IAT level II access upon hire for positions with elevated privileges.

The likely salary range for this position is $128,000 - $192,000, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
