GDIT is a mission-driven information technology company, passionate about supporting our customers, and we are seeking a Senior Early Career Specialist to join our Early Career and University Programs team!

You will execute the following job responsibilities:

  • Perform full-cycle recruitment including candidate sourcing, resume and application review, phone screening of qualified applicants, coordinating the onboarding process for new hires, and managing the new hire and intern conversion offer processes
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for candidates and educational institutions, and develop and build relationships with key faculty and students from assigned campuses
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to develop and execute a tailored recruiting approach at designated schools to build excitement and engagement with candidates and achieve demand targets
  • Leverage recruiting knowledge, recruitment results and competitive market intelligence to drive strategies and influence key internal stakeholders on recruitment activities and programs
  • Develop creative solutions and programs to engage early career talent and keep them warm during the academic year
  • Serve as a thought partner and support the transformation of our approach to demand planning, recruiting, and staffing of early career talent
  • Evolve the organization’s internship program into a cutting edge, best-in-class experience for participants
  • Serve as a General Dynamics IT University Ambassador to help grow our footprint
  • Support enterprise-wide Student and University Program related projects
  • Continuously innovate, enhance, and drive new program initiatives

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree plus 5+ years of related experience
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
  • Ability to build strong relationships with all stakeholders and networks to include candidates, university partners, and internal stakeholders
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines
  • Experience or demonstrated passion for designing, developing, and delivering recruiting or career development programs for early career talent
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with an Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
  • Ability to travel as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience recruiting in defense industry preferred
  • Experience hiring for cleared positions preferred
  • Experience with Workday preferred
