GDIT is seeking a Solutions Senior Advisor to join our Enterprise Information Technology Services (EITS) team.  The EITS team is responsible for the operation and evolution of systems and services designed to assist all GDIT employees in their daily duties. In this Solutions Architect style role, you will work with the solutions development team to design, develop and implement enterprise solutions that meet business goals and objectives. Your mission is to translate business requirements into an architecture and design that ultimately constitutes the blueprint for a solution.  You will then recommend solutions that are secure, robust, and align with GDIT’s technology and service roadmaps.  

This is one of the companys most important customer facing roles, and it will give you the opportunity to provide the strategic direction of the project by comparing tools and techniques and suggesting the ones that best serve the project. Through translating relevant details about the project into a language that management and other stake holders can understand, you will align people with technology. The responsibility for determining our customers needs and priorities, crafting technical solutions responsive to those needs, helping to shape customer acquisitions, and positioning GDIT to win makes this both a challenging and rewarding opportunity!

This position can be performed 100% remote from any US location.


  • Translates functional requirements into an architecture and solution, describing it through architecture and design artifacts.

  • Develops logical and physical technology documentation for existing or proposed systems.

  • Develops and delivers presentations to describe the architecture and solution being proposed

  • Advises on high-level, complex solution development, architecture and management processes from concept ideation through development, launch and maintenance

  • Utilizes excellent written and oral communications skills to work closely with leadership, technical staff, and vendor to identify best solutions for the organization

  • Conducts research on emerging technologies in support of user requirements, while recommending technologies that will increase cost effectiveness, boost productivity, and improve the end user experience.

  • Serves as subject-matter expert who can easily liaise between IT and other departments.

  • Helps design and support the execution of technology architecture road maps that promote optimum utilization of Cloud resources

  • Comfortable working independently and hands-on to prototype and evaluate custom and third-party solutions to fit within the organization and improve customer experience

  • Provides mentorship to less-experienced architects


  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline. 

  • 10+ years of IT and or engineering experience

  • Working knowledge of Access and Identity Management Suites

  • Experienced with Enterprise Application integrations (ERP, CRM, HCM)   

  • Experience selecting or supporting Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence solutions

  • Experience developing IT and cloud infrastructure

  • Ability to lead projects and provide technical oversight to ensure alignment with strategic goals & objectives.

  • Possess technical proficiency and is current with the latest technologies, trends, standards, & products.
