HOW AN INFORMATION SECURITY ANALYST SENIOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Responsible for supporting the receipt, custody, issue, safeguarding, accounting for, and, when necessary, the destruction or COMSEC material.

Assists with shipping cryptographic products and key material weighing up to 50 pounds.

Use the Distributed Information Security (INFOSEC) Accounting System (DIAS).

Performs Field Tamper Recovery (FTR), upgrading cryptographic device firmware, and ensuring the interoperability of firmware versions between enterprise encryptors.

Knowledge of the General Dynamics TACLANE line of KG-175x In-Line Network Encryptors (INE) and VIASAT KG-245x and KG-250x INE.

Installs, deploys, uses, and manages the General Dynamics GEM-X and VIASAT VINE High Assurance Internet Protocol Encryptor (HAIPE) Managers.

Plans and executes Out-Of-Band-Key Transfer (OOBKT) for remote rekey of enterprise encryptors on multiple networks using GEM-X and VINE HAIPE Managers. Requires experience in Suite-A and Suite-B network environments, architecture, and key material requirements.

Reads and interprets complex network drawings and documentation as they relate to cryptographic requirements.

Performs hands-on installation, maintenance, configuration and troubleshooting of COMSEC equipment, as required.

Programs and operates approved key fill devices, including KIK-20 and KIK-30 and AN/CYZ-10.

Performs Over-The-Air-Transfer (OTAT) of key material to remote sites using the General Dynamics Sectera vIPer and the L-3 Secure Terminal Equipment (STE).

Provides training and COMSEC oversight to local and remote site personnel for assigned COMSEC equipment (e.g., KG-175x, KG-245x, KG-250x, Sectera vIPer, Sectera GSM, Sectera Wireline Terminal, STE, DTD, SDS (KIK-20) and RASKL (KIK-30)).

Provides incident response using multiple software applications, including Remedy and JIRA (U).  




WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
● Education: A Bachelor’s degree in computer science/systems, information systems/ technology, engineering/engineering technology, software engineering/ programming, management, natural sciences, social sciences, mathematics, Education, English or Literature or business/finance.
Education and experience requirements may be substituted with:
•    A Master’s Degree (in subjects described above) and two years general experience of which at least one year must be specialized experience.
•    No degree and 11 years general experience of which at least five years is specialized.

● Required Experience: This position requires a minimum of five years of previous hands-on experience working with COMSEC, of which at least one year must be specialized.
Specialized experience includes: demonstrated experience with COMSEC account administration/management.
Demonstrated ability to work independently or under only general direction.
Must be a graduate of the COMSEC Custodian Course OR component equivalent course.

● Required Technical Skills:

This position requires a minimum of five years of previous hands-on experience working with COMSEC, of which at least one year must be specialized.

Specialized experience includes: demonstrated experience with COMSEC account administration/management.

Demonstrated ability to work independently or under only general direction.

Must be a graduate of the COMSEC Custodian Course OR component equivalent course.
