GDIT has an exciting opportunity available for a Logistics Analyst at our Regional Support Center in SWA at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait. Must have a current and active Secret clearance, and a Transferable Kuwait Residency Visa 18.
This position is responsible for the overall supply management and accounting of Theater Provided Equipment(TPE) and Government-Furnished Equipment(GFE). Maintain all account property records; conduct assistance visits and inspections; suitably experienced, qualified, and able to follow instructions clearly but also make command decisions on the spot to achieve the organizations aims. Coordinate with internal, external customers, and other logistic agencies. Purchase and maintains supplies; process and follow up on transactions; schedule and maintains inventories; ensures adequate supplies; collects and return worn-out and damaged supplies and equipment. Advises hand-receipt holders of supply requirements and procedures; coordinates turn-ins and lateral transfers;
Note - Most logisticians work during regular business hours. When dealing with delivery problems or other logistical issues, they may work adjusted hours to ensure that operations stay on schedule.
Responsible for all aspects of property accountability of equipment stored, issued, turned-in, and lateral transfers to and from the Installation Property Book Office (IPBO).
The Ideal Candidate must have:

B.A. or equivalent and 3 years related experience.
Extensive knowledge handling government-furnished equipment management and theater provided equipment (TPE) property to include maintaining inventories and hand receipts for Regional Support Center.
Ability to perform several tasks at one time, keep detailed records, and simultaneously manage several projects in a fast-paced environment.
Administers, plans, and directs the facility asset management program
Inspecting completed work for accuracy and compliance with established procedures
Coordinate logistics operations within the brigade or battalion while simultaneously managing equipment fielding and turn-ins for external higher-level partners
Ensuring adequate supplies by placing orders
Posting transactions to organizational and installation property books and supporting transaction files
Experience with retrograde in recovering and bringing to record or demilitarization of U.S. Army property
Management of the records for all leased, loaned, and borrowed equipment, and the records direction for all equipment transferred into and out of the Property Book.
Excellent mathematical ability and ability to think critically.
Outstanding communication skills (verbal and written).
Knowledge of Microsoft Office software products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Ability to meet internal paperwork requirements.
Calmness under pressure.
Candidate must have 2+ years remaining on passport.
Passport must obtain 6 blank pages together.
Valid drivers license.
The Ideal Candidate will have:
Record of successful distribution and logistics management.
(One year of military service may be substituted for one year of academic requirements to fulfill the bachelors degree requirement. Masters degree is preferred but not required.)
Extensive knowledge and/or certifications in Global Combat Support SystemCSS and automated procurement management systems.
Proficient in standard logistics software.
Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects.
Ability to use independent judgment when there are no policies or procedures in place.
Ability to apply common sense understanding and deal with problems involving multiple variables in a variety of situations.
Strong attention to detail.
Experience working in hostile and austere environments.
A graduate of the U.S. Army Automated Logistical Specialist (MOS 92A) or Unit Supply Specialist (MOS92Y) course or a graduate of a technical school or manufacturers instruction course Experience in a forward-facing customer support role.
