GDIT is has one of the largest and most diverse portfolios of work at Department of Health and Human Services Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). We combine deep insight into healthcare benefit administration policy and technology across all of CMS’s operational areas. We anticipate hiring for several teams who are working closely with the customer to evaluate technical alternatives to legacy technology, define current state and to-be architecture, and work on migration of CMS’s legacy mainframe systems to modern cloud-based architectures, delivering improved scalability and lower total cost of ownership. Our team supporting this important customer is growing, and we are currently recruiting for future work supporting their missions.

  • Mainframe batch systems
  • Cloud-based systems
  • Migrations of large data driven systems  
  • Mainframe, DB2
  • AWS Redshift, AWS glue
  • Service oriented architecture environments and best development practices.
  • Prior experience supporting the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS)
  • Working understanding of Medicare Advantage systems and data
  • Certified cloud architect for AWS
  • Agile certification (e.g., Certified Scrum Master)
  • DevOps principles, including: Continuous integration & continuous deployment; Infrastructure-as-code based configuration management
  • Amazon Web Services environment
  • Agile Development environments
  • Existing Public Trust clearance preferred

Selected applicants will be subject to a government security investigation. While the work is remote, regular meetings on-site near Baltimore, MD may be required for some roles in the future.
