The Multimedia/Graphic Designer supports the execution of a program to provide training to both new and existing federal staff on organizational policies and procedures. The Multimedia/Graphic Designer will support the design and development of training content and learning materials as a member of the Instructional Systems Design Team.
Essential Tasks Include:
Design and implement multimedia products such as videos, illustrations, images, animations, layouts, templates, and other items to enhance training content development.
Support the design and development of web-based training and other learning solutions.
Utilize an array of instructional design and content authoring systems to generate engaging online content.
Support Subject Matter Experts in conceptualizing content design and incorporate learning best practice in training material creation.
Supplement new and existing training content with innovative, interactive, and engaging design elements.
Conduct testing of visuals and graphics within learning modules to ensure functionality across various learning and media platforms.
Evaluate instructional effectiveness and implement changes to developed content based on gap analysis and provided learner feedback.
Ensure all developed learning content adheres to 508 requirements.
Collaborate with Instructional Systems Design Team to ensure project timelines and deliverable requirements are met.
Support other projects/assignments as needed.
Requires BA/BS degree in graphic design, digital design, film, or a related field.
Five (5) years of professional experience, with at least two (2) years related to adult education in the classroom, online, or in blended environments.
Proven proficiency with ISD systems, graphic design software, PowerPoint, and video editing software.
Ability to direct and incorporate audio, video, imagery, graphics, and textual data into high-end, engaging learnings.
Working knowledge of current and emerging educational applications, instructional design systems and E-learning tools.
Excellent visual and verbal communication skills to present ideas and information to both colleagues and clients.
High attention to detail and strong organizational, time, and project management skills.
Strong written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
