As a Mission Software Developer directly supporting the customer, you will be trusted to provide critical development support to address the long-term mission goals of a high visibility and mission critical government office. In this role a typical day will include:
Working as part of a motivated, high-performing team
Resolving critical development challenges that negatively impact the customer’s mission
Collaborating with teammates and government customers to identify process improvements
Lending expertise and institutional knowledge to less experienced developers to improve the overall technical excellence of the team
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
Minimum of 15 years related experience.
Demonstrated experience in Project Management, engineering design, configuration and system deployment. Shall be able to gather and document engineering requirements. Develop network architecture and design documentation also ensure design aspects are understood. Troubleshooting hardware devices, including servers, wireless access points, firewall, routers, switches, and controller. Designing, configuring and testing computer/server software and hardware. Experience diagramming and documenting system design and planning. Experience working with database query languages such as SQL. Knowledge of firewalls, Cisco, Netgear & HP network hardware and network monitoring software. Ensure data is protected from Cyber attacks. Work with the project team to to ensure the design is implemented also follow the requirement and design through testing, delivery and O&M.

Provides expert knowledge for maintenance and upgrade of networks including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, remote access systems, and networks.
Provides expert knowledge for network integrity and connectivity while ensuring compliance with policies and maintains system backup and recovery capability.
Coordinates the acquisition of hardware and software as well as subcontractor services as needed.
Creates plans and configures systems for data communication networks.
Evaluates new communications technologies to enhance capabilities of the network.
Maintains current and advanced knowledge of progressive and advancing technology as assigned.
Designs and builds the hardware and software components for computer or telecommunications networks.
Provides expert guidance and leadership to less-experienced network personnel.
May serve as a task or project leader. (Not a people manager)
May consult with executives and customers to deliver complex network solutions.
Recognized as a subject matter expert in a specific technology.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: BA/BS (or equivalent experience), 15+ years of experience
