GDIT has an exciting opportunity available for an Intelligence / Electronic Warfare (IEW) Systems Maintenance Technician at JBLM, WA. This position requires someone with a current and active TS/SCI clearance. This position requires individuals who are self-motivated, suitably experienced, qualified, and able to follow instructions clearly but also able to make command decisions on the spot in order to achieve the aims of the organization. Specific systems may include Trojan Spirit II (V) 2/3, Trojan Spirit LITE (V) 1/2/3, and Prophet T-LITE.
Perform all aspects of Trojan and Prophet Systems troubleshooting and repair to include communications-electronics, computer systems, sensor systems, SATCOM systems, optics, LAN and data communications, configuration and maintenance of servers, routers, switches, multiplexers, workstations and peripherals.
Performs inspections of system components, preventive maintenance, testing and troubleshooting of modules and circuit cards to the line replaceable unit (LRU).
Performs moderately complex technical functions such as set up, operation, maintenance, modification, circuit testing, calibration and troubleshooting of electronic or electro-mechanical systems, or specialized test equipment to support products or product performance to validate, investigate and resolve matters of significance.
Strong background in electronics, and communications equipment trouble-shooting and repair.
Possess high reliability soldering skills and is experienced in repair of PCB (Printed Circuit Boards), and in the use of Test Equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, millimeter's, power meters and DC power supplies.
Must have experience and be able to troubleshoot, maintenance and repair Satellite Communication terminals and systems.
Experience in interpreting system drawings, electronic schematics, network drawings, engineering drawings.
Experience troubleshooting, fault finding, and repair of electronic equipment.
Experience with communications analyzers (service monitors) spectrum analyzers, and volt meters.
Configures computer software, communications devices, and peripheral equipment to operate within designated networks.
Perform logistic support requirements such as research, and equipment and spare part inventories.
Provide Technical representation at meetings and consultations with clients or their representatives.
Manages customer expectations as the on-site company representative.
Maintain strong attention to detail.
Maintain a positive attitude and work as a member of a cohesive team as well as independently.
Interact with all levels of the organization in a professional and tactful way.
Multi-task efficiently and work in a fast pace environment on multiple projects.
Work with minimal supervision, documents maintenance tasks via local or web- based reporting system, provides system functional briefings to customer and supervisor.
Provide over the shoulder training to systems maintainer as required.
Performs all other duties assigned.
May be required to go TDY.
Majority of time spent providing repairs in a shop environment and at the customer location.
AA/AS, 3+ years experience
Current and active U.S. Government TS/SCI clearance.
Valid driver's license.
Valid US Passport.
Excellent customer presence as well as verbal and written communication skills, writing system documentation documents, and communications involving system installation and operation.
