VTC schedulers/technicians require excellent problem-solving and customer service skills, as well as thorough knowledge of VTC hardware, software and network connections. VTC schedulers/technicians must have expertise in scheduling VTC sessions in VTC bridges, as well as hands-on experience with debugging the interoperation of VTC bridges and end points. Typical duties include: • Review VTC user request, schedule and manage VTC sessions. • Provide pre-conference testing and setup for video teleconferences and/or meetings. • Ensure full interoperability and a seamless connection between all internal and external systems to include, but not limited to, DISN Video Services - Global (DVS-G), NIPRNET, SIPRNET, and JWICS. • Installing, configuring, and maintaining VTC endpoints • Installing and configuring VTC application and system software and upgrades • Analyze, test, modify and manage VTC infrastructure, such as MCUs and gatekeepers. • Monitor and respond to hardware and software problems utilizing a variety of hardware and software testing tools and techniques. • Troubleshooting and repairing hardware and network connectivity issues • Removing old equipment and performing data migration to new machines • Provide technical support and training to end-users. Requirements: • TS/SCI Clearance required; TS clearance with SCI eligibility may be considered. • Educational Requirements: • An Associate’s Degree from an accredited college. Additional experience will be considered in lieu of formal education on a case-by-case basis. Experience Requirements: • Three or more years of experience supporting and troubleshooting VTCs in Government environment, as well as troubleshooting and fixing VTC hardware and software (e.g., Cisco, Polycom).
