General Dynamics Information Technology Federal Civilian Division is currently looking for a Quality Analyst Sr. Advisor to join our team in support of the Navy Bureau of Medicine and Surgery (BUMED) at their Headquarters in Falls Church VA. The advisory support includes the following tasks:
Provide a quality review of the Case Summary by analyzing the JAGMAN/Litigation investigation and preparing medical-legal analysis of the paid claims and active duty service member events for military medicine.
Identify providers and obtain appropriate expert reviews to determine whether the quality of care provide met the medical standards of care.
Determine and communicate risk factors and develop risk mitigation strategies ultimately to help increase patient safety and decrease monetary loss or liability to the Government.
Lead review panels, coordinate the panel member participation, attend the panel, and summarize the panel's decision.
Review paid medical malpractices cases and Active Duty cases to ultimately advise whether practitioners followed the Standards of Care.
Prepare a complete copy of the documentation supporting determination that the standard of care was met.
Prepare documentation in the required format and present to the BUMED Chain of Command and the Navy Surgeon General for signature for those that did not meet standard of care.
Meet with the BUMED RM to discuss case status and the timeline of the claim in the National Practitioner Data Bank (NPDB) process.
Provide recommendations for military healthcare system improvements
Participates in special projects as required.
Master's Degree in a related field. Juris Doctorate, preferred.
10+ years in related experience in data analytics
Excellent oral and written communications skills required.
Must be a U.S. citizen and obtain/have a NACLC (T3)
