Our work depends on a Database Specialist joining our team to support the Center for Disease Control (CDC ) activities at Atlanta, GA. This work may be performed locally, or remotely with some travel.
At GDIT, we put our people first. As a Database Specialist supporting the CDC, you will be trusted to work on Agile Software Development projects. In this role, you will
Create and manage database objects, including tables, views, stored procedures, etc.
Shall perform database security management, including security audit reports
Shall perform the database encryption that complies with federal encryption standards
Shall provide the Performance tuning and scalability planning
Shall assess the existing data to migrate
Shall comply with all CDC federal security requirements,
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or Social Science
6 Years of relevant experience
o Azure Synapse
o Azure Data Lake Gen 2
o Azure Data Factory
o ETL/Data Orchestration best practices
o Data Analytics (Python/R/Scala)
o Data Visualization with Power BI & Tableau
Ability to pass a government security investigation for Public Trust

The likely salary range for this position is $104,000 - $156,000, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
