Splunk Systems Engineer 

  

Responsible for developing and maintaining enterprise network performance dashboards and reports.  Utilize pre-built dashboards/add-ons within a SPLUNK system. Create custom SPLUNK dashboards and search queries.  Utilize SPLUNK to provide data visualizations. Integrate multiple data streams and feeds from networks, infrastructure services, mission/business applications into a near, real-time dashboard for use in troubleshooting.  Provide recommendations/action plans for incorporating new data streams to present additional visualizations.  Provide recommendations for utilizing SPLUNK to automate resource intensive manual processes throughout the organization.  Highly skilled utilizing SPLUNK to create reports dashboards.  Use Splunk software to identify analytic approaches and develop analytic data sets.  Develop visual dashboards and identifying anomalous activities.  Interact directly with clients, project team members, and organizational leadership. 

  

Education 

BA/BS 

  

Qualifications 

  

·         1-2 years SPLUNK experience creating dashboards 

·         2+ years of IT experience 

·         Analytical, result-orientated, creative problem solver 

·         Driven by quality and teamwork 

·         MS Windows 10 Operating System 

·         Microsoft Office 2010 or later 

·         Experience with personal computers, terminal, peripheral equipment, and associated software repair, installation, configuration, and system operation 

·         ITIL V3 Foundations Certification desired (Desired) 

·         DoD 8570 compliant for IAT Level II (Desired) 

·         Effective communications and listening skills 

·         Detail-oriented with superior organization skills 

·         Self-motivated and able to work independently and take the initiative in identifying and addressing challenges
