Designs systems architecture for new or existing computer system
Creates, plans, and configures highly complex engineering systems for optimal operations
Creates and engineers highly advanced systems design, development, and integration from the start of a systems life cycle to the end
Designs and engineers highly complex infrastructures including installing, configuring, testing and maintaining operating systems, application software, and system management tools
Creates and designs highly complex systems modeling, simulation, and analysis
Performs continual maintenance and creates highly ingenious solutions for security, backup, and redundancy problems
Provides critical insight and guidance for the preparation and maintenance of all documentation for processes and procedures related to engineering projects
Maintains current knowledge of rapidly changing technology, always on the lookout for new technologies, and works with management to evolve current processes
Performs complex systems development and design work that may include logic design, I/O design, model formulation, computer architecture analysis and design, and digital systems engineering
Invents innovative ways to drive production operational efficiency
Drives scalability and operability of supported systems/infrastructure
Implements, manages, and enhances Continuous Integration and Delivery (CI/CD) pipeline tools
Creates, maintains, and reviews Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Desired State Configuration (DSC) and/or Puppet configuration management tools to support the provisioning infrastructure
Provides system/equipment/specialized training and technical guidance
May coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals
May serve as a team or task lead
Recognized as an industry leader in systems engineering
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: BA/BS or equivalent, 20+ years of experience
