Job Description

Overview:

GDIT has an opportunity for a dynamic and collaborative leader to join our team supporting a Federal customer in developing new, and maintaining existing, software systems in an agile environment.  The position is located in Washington, DC. GDIT provides full software development lifecycle as well as operations & maintenance expertise for a variety of applications supporting a complex case management process that supports many thousands of users in a highly visible public-facing set of applications. Our services include program and project management, scrum master support, business requirements analysis, solutions architecture, software engineering, release management, application support, security management, testing services, configuration management, change management, and COTS/GOTS support and the development of new solutions as needed. As part of the program, GDIT supports the agency in all its Scaled Agile Framework® (SAFe®) and Development/Security/Operations (DevSecOps) methodologies, practices, and processes. Join our team!

Responsibilities:


Technical

  • Experience using Selenium, Cucumber, UFT, Appian testing frameworks and libraries.
  • Automating and executing test cases, managing defects, and reporting testing status to development teams.
  • Writing and maintaining UFT and/or Selenium testing scripts.
  • Integrating test automation into CI/CD.
  • Monitoring and managing continuous integration environments.
  • Familiarity with SQL databases like MS SQL Server.
  • Familiarity with testing at both the UI and API layers.
  • Experience with test driven and behavior driven development.
  • Exposure to testing mobile applications and devices.
  • Creating and managing test plans.
  • Experience with user acceptance testing.
  • Experience in IT manual quality assurance testing performing but not limited to functional and regression testing to validate software systems against functional requirements and specifications.
  • Writing and executing complex SQL Queries for backend data validation.

Communication and Organizational

  • Analyzing the root cause for testing failures and opening appropriate defects with sufficient findings.
  • Familiarity with generating traceability matrices all the way from user stories or business requirements to automated test cases.
  • Demonstrated creativity, independence, self-motivation and willing to learn new technologies.
  • Possess strong analytical skills and be an out of box thinker.
  • Gathering and understanding business requirements.
  • Writing users stories, creating test plans, and test cases.
  • Experience with Agile and Waterfall Methodology.
     

Required Qualifications:

  • 3 to 7+ years’ experience within integration, regression, and system testing using automated testing tools in web-based applications.
  • Experience in writing test cases, test plans, executing test scripts, reporting defects, and preparing test results reports.
  • Experience in the entire QA Life Cycle, including designing, developing and execution on the entire QA process and documentation of test plans, test cases, test procedures and test scripts.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science (or relevant field).

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $92,331 - $154,211, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
