There is no challenge that we can’t turn into opportunity, and our work depends on a Systems Administrator/Customer Services and Information Technology Officer joining our team to support critical Government activities in McLean.

At GDIT, people are our differentiator.  As a Systems Administrator/Customer Services and Information Technology Officer supporting the mission partner, you will be trusted to provide software and hardware support.  In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Working as part of a motivated, high-performing team
  • Tier 1 troubleshooting of hardware, networks, and systems, supporting a mix of enterprise and standalone systems, maintaining hardware and the configuration management for switches, routers, and storage arrays.
  • Direct customer interactions and virtual support across multiple countries and activities
  • Hardware replacement to include workstations, drives, and consumables
  • Collaborating with teammates and government customers to identify process improvements
  • Lending expertise and institutional knowledge to less experienced personnel to improve the overall technical excellence of the team
  • Manage personal metrics, alignment to KPI’s, and the office’s ticket queue

Ideal candidates will be comfortable in a fast-paced work environment, contributing to a team-based environment, and be able to take direction but also be a self-starter.  The incumbent should be personable, well organized, and analytical with attention to detail.  Day-to-day work will see activity in:

The incumbent in this position works in a 24/7 operational environment, working a non-rotating schedule, 6am to 2pm, Sunday-Thursday.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years related experience.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with Active Directory, Windows 10, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office Suite, VMware, and demonstrated hardware/application troubleshooting skills.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of customer product base (software/hardware).
