Overview:

GDIT has an opportunity for a dynamic and collaborative leader to join our team supporting a Federal customer in developing new, and maintaining existing, software systems in an agile environment.  The position is located in Washington, DC. GDIT provides full software development lifecycle as well as operations & maintenance expertise for a variety of applications supporting a complex case management process that supports many thousands of users in a highly visible public-facing set of applications. Our services include program and project management, scrum master support, business requirements analysis, solutions architecture, software engineering, release management, application support, security management, testing services, configuration management, change management, and COTS/GOTS support and the development of new solutions as needed. As part of the program, GDIT supports the agency in all its Scaled Agile Framework® (SAFe®) and Development/Security/Operations (DevSecOps) methodologies, practices, and processes. Join our team!

Responsibilities:

  • Strong working knowledge of processes and policies involved in the modification or reconfiguration of hardware and software system/equipment configuration end items.
  • Resolution of any compliance issues and the tracking of compliance procedures and policies.
  • Facilitation of audits related to configuration management.
  • Work closely with system engineers to document various segments of the system and develop the existing top-level configuration management processes and documentation, to include developing, implementing, and enforcing a change & configuration management process that captures changes from each phase of the system lifecycle.
  • Responsible for analyzing and managing the Configuration Management Plan (CMP).
  • Reviews, develops, and updates step-by-step procedures for building, re-creating, and/or decomposing various virtual and physical systems and components.
  • Managing configuration programs to ensure that all proposed and actual changes to program technology and documentation are properly staffed, approved, and tracked.
  • Facilitating the change notification process used for updating products.
  • Ensuring notification of performing organizations or project teams of change activity.
     

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years’ experience with modern configuration, application, and life cycle management of build processes to maintain version control for hardware, software, including code and COTS/GOTS packages, libraries, containers, virtual machines, releases, and documents.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Engineering Management, Math, or equivalent.

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $80,226 - $133,973, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
