Responsibilities
Responsible for the installation, configuration, instruction, and troubleshooting of Android Tactical Assault Kit (ATAK) and other Android based mobile devices and related IT equipment. Establishes and maintains configuration baselines and documentation for mobile device configurations to include patches, operating systems, COTS, GOTS and in house applications. Serves as the technical resource responsible for device management to provision, deploy, manage, and support devices to align with customer directed security standards and configuration standards. Works with other IT professionals as directed to coordinate efforts, troubleshooting peripheral and hardware issues, resolve cross-team issues and communicate and track changes for classified, unclassified, and special communications networks. Instructs military members on the usage and operation of ATAK, Android and other mobile devices, and other IT equipment as required. Self-Motivated to research and follow trending technologies and applications in the mobile sector.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
MS Windows 7 Operating System or later
Linux / Android OS experience
Microsoft Office / Outlook 2010 or later
Proficient in configuration and management of mobile devices, such as tablets and phones (Android)
Experience with Mobile Device Management (MDM) platforms for device updates, inventory, and reporting
DoD 8570 compliant
Good communications skills; shows tact, effective listening skills and follow through
Ability to instructor others on how to operate ATAK and related IT equipment
Detail oriented and organized and can document and update processes and procedures
Solid troubleshooting skills to isolate and resolve application compatibility issues
Interested in new mobile methodologies and technologies
CompTIA Security + or equivalent required
Security Requirements
Must have a Top Secret security clearance and be able to obtain a SCI
