GDIT is looking for an accomplished and technically adept Knowledge Management Specialist with the ability to create and maintain Knowledge Base (KB) articles, standard operating procedures (SOP), process guides, work instructions (WI), job aids, frequently asked questions (FAQ), short "How Do I" videos, etc. in a fast-paced team environment.  Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:• Implementing Knowledge Management principle and practices• Interact directly with IT Staff and Customers to capture undocumented knowledge (Knowledge Interviewer) supporting a "learn once - share many" concept with GDIT and client technical staff• Report automated statistics of knowledge document usage, creation, updates, retirement, etc.• Develop a deep understanding of our client systems under operations and management, and find new opportunities to deliver operating efficiencies Required Skills / Qualifications:• U.S. Citizenship• DHS HQ EOD required to start; must be able to obtain/maintain Final Suitability• Bachelors degree and 8+ years of experience in relevant fields• Ability to research, organize, create, and maintain clear concise artifacts/documents• Demonstrated ability to develop a vision and drive action plans to deliver results• Excellent technical writing skills Desired Skills / Qualifications:• Masters degree in computer science, information systems, or relevant technical field• 15+ years of relevant experience• 8+ years knowledge management experience• ITIL v3 or v4 certification - Foundations, Knowledge Management• Experience IT Service Management tools, i.e., ServiceNow• Interpersonal skills to interact with IT staff and customers in a collaborative manner• Ability to work independently and as part of a team We are GDIT.
