GDIT is seeking a Solutions Architect Advisor with experience in Defense training, to include simulation, Augmented/Virtual Reality (AR/VR), and Live, Virtual and Constructive (LVC) training. You will need to have knowledge of military Simulation systems, distributed training and networks, AR/VR training, and LVC concepts. You will provide technical and analytical assistance and help develop technical solutions and proposals needed to win a diverse portfolio of new business and re-compete opportunities.
You will be responsible for understanding our customers’ needs and priorities; crafting technical solutions responsive to those needs; shaping customer acquisitions; and positioning GDIT to win by supporting the delivery of our written and oral technical proposals. The location is virtual and can be 100% remote, but you must be willing to travel occasionally to support proposal development tanks.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Lead and support technical solution strategy throughout the Capture and Proposal lifecycle, from early Qualification through Proposal submission
Contribute to GDIT win strategies, and lead the development of technical win themes and solution readiness plans
Engage with current and prospective customers to understand critical needs, socialize and vet solutions, and advise on strategies to shape acquisitions that achieve desired results
Contribute technical solutions and approaches to meet anticipated or actual acquisition requirements
Support the design and the development of key artifacts including, but not limited to architectural models, process diagrams, concepts of operation, etc.
Help to develop unsolicited technical recommendations, collateral and RFI/SS responses to engage prospective customers and position GDIT to win
Collaborate with GDIT technical service areas and lines of business to identify and bring the best technical and business strategies and solutions to differentiate GDIT
Contribute to teaming strategies, including identifying and vetting potential partners and teammates
Develop and support cost strategies, staffing BOEs, and equipment BOMs
Ensure readiness of solution and proposal support teams to prepare compelling and compliant responses to the government’s solicitation
Ensure integration of technical solution within all sections and volumes of the proposal
Review proposals and provide critical feedback needed to strengthen our solution and proposals
Author Technical volume introductions, key sections and orals slides, including developing compelling graphics
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
5+ years’ experience as an engineer, architect, SME, or operator on a DoD Training program
Experience successfully developing technical solutions on a minimum of three pursuits/proposals
Experience with the methodology, evaluation processes, and development of new LVC technologies and training concepts
Experience with the methodology, evaluation processes, and development of new AR/VR technologies and training concepts
Experience analyzing technical and operational impacts, cost and training benefit of proposed changes in a resource-constrained environment, and proposing changes to meet and address operational needs
Experience developing possible solutions for LVC, DMO, or VR training for integration and interoperability
Experience working in one or more IT domains that may include software development, IT infrastructure services, cloud, cyber security, or data management services
Experience with technical leadership and project management
Ability to successfully lead or support solution development and Technical proposal authoring for deals up to $500M
Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative, fast-paced, growth-focused environment
Ability to work independently, remotely, and virtually
Ability to perform exceptionally over long stretches of time (during capture) and in challenging situations (during proposal development)
Ability to write exceptionally and to create compliant and compelling narrative that best present GDIT’s solutions and approaches within the government’s requirements and evaluation criteria
Ability to conceptualize and communicate or develop rich graphic visuals that help to strengthen the GDIT story and clearly and effectively communicate concepts and approaches
Must be able to travel (20 - 40%)
Willingness to take a writing assessment as part of the in-person interview
Secret or higher Government clearance
Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field
Orals leadership and coaching experience
Basis of Estimate and competitive estimation strategy
