GDIT is seeking a Solutions Architect Advisor with experience in Defense training, to include simulation, Augmented/Virtual Reality (AR/VR), and Live, Virtual and Constructive (LVC) training.  You will need to have knowledge of military Simulation systems, distributed training and networks, AR/VR training, and LVC concepts.  You will provide technical and analytical assistance and help develop technical solutions and proposals needed to win a diverse portfolio of new business and re-compete opportunities. 

You will be responsible for understanding our customers’ needs and priorities; crafting technical solutions responsive to those needs; shaping customer acquisitions; and positioning GDIT to win by supporting the delivery of our written and oral technical proposals.  GDIT offers a fast-paced, highly dynamic, and collaborative environment in which self-motivated, strategic thought leaders earn executive recognition and rapid advancement.

The location is virtual and can be 100% remote, but you must be willing to travel occasionally to support proposal development tanks.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Pursuit/Capture Leadership:

  • Lead and support technical solution strategy throughout the Capture and Proposal lifecycle, from early Qualification through Proposal submission

  • Contribute to GDIT win strategies, and lead the development of technical win themes and solution readiness plans

  • Engage with current and prospective customers to understand critical needs, socialize and vet solutions, and advise on strategies to shape acquisitions that achieve desired results

  • Contribute technical solutions and approaches to meet anticipated or actual acquisition requirements

  • Support the design and the development of key artifacts including, but not limited to architectural models, process diagrams, concepts of operation, etc.

  • Help to develop unsolicited technical recommendations, collateral and RFI/SS responses to engage prospective customers and position GDIT to win

  • Collaborate with GDIT technical service areas and lines of business to identify and bring the best technical and business strategies and solutions to differentiate GDIT

  • Contribute to teaming strategies, including identifying and vetting potential partners and teammates

  • Develop and support cost strategies, staffing BOEs, and equipment BOMs

Proposal Leadership:

  • Ensure readiness of solution and proposal support teams to prepare compelling and compliant responses to the government’s solicitation

  • Ensure integration of technical solution within all sections and volumes of the proposal

  • Review proposals and provide critical feedback needed to strengthen our solution and proposals

  • Author Technical volume introductions, key sections and orals slides, including developing compelling graphics

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 5+ years’ experience as an engineer, architect, SME, or operator on a DoD Training program

  • Experience successfully developing technical solutions on a minimum of three  pursuits/proposals

  • Experience with the methodology, evaluation processes, and development of new LVC technologies and training concepts

  • Experience with the methodology, evaluation processes, and development of new AR/VR technologies and training concepts

  • Experience analyzing technical and operational impacts, cost and training benefit of proposed changes in a resource-constrained environment, and proposing changes to meet and address operational needs

  • Experience developing possible solutions for LVC, DMO, or VR training for integration and interoperability

  • Experience working in one or more IT domains that may include software development, IT infrastructure services, cloud, cyber security, or data management services

  • Experience with technical leadership and project management

  • Ability to successfully lead or support solution development and Technical proposal authoring for deals up to $500M

  • Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative, fast-paced, growth-focused environment

  • Ability to work independently, remotely, and virtually

  • Ability to perform exceptionally over long stretches of time (during capture) and in challenging situations (during proposal development)

  • Ability to write exceptionally and to create compliant and compelling narrative that best present GDIT’s solutions and approaches within the government’s requirements and evaluation criteria

  • Ability to conceptualize and communicate or develop rich graphic visuals that help to strengthen the GDIT story and clearly and effectively communicate concepts and approaches

  • Must be able to travel (20 - 40%)

  • Willingness to take a writing assessment as part of the in-person interview

Desired Qualifications:

  • Secret or higher Government clearance

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field

  • Orals leadership and coaching experience

  • Basis of Estimate and competitive estimation strategy
