We are currently seeking a Java Developer in Egg Harbor Township, NJ to join our team. In this role you will be a change agent by working on the TFM2 contract. TFM2 provides modernization and life cycle support of Information Technology infrastructure that host national implementation of the FAA's Traffic Flow Management (TFM) functionality. It also focuses on long term engineering services and the development of new functional enhancements that increase the capability of Traffic Flow Management.
Must be clearable for a position of public trust and standard background investigation check.
Task and responsibilities in this role include, but are not limited to the following:
Support Senior level Software Engineers and developers in designing J2EE software using object-oriented design patterns
Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.
Develop Java/J2EE applications to solve highly complex technical problems
Develop test harnesses to support software testing
Provide software support for a real-time air traffic management system
Debug software problems and provide solutions
Support development of software requirements
Ensures software standards are met
Travel when required
To qualify, you must meet these basic qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree( in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or related field is preferred) + 5yrs. related experience
Proficient using Java /J2EE applications
Analytical and problem solving skills
Experience with Java /J2EE applications
Clear understanding of the software life cycle
Knowledge of SQL, XML and experience with databases
Demonstrate strength in solving complex problems
Experience with C/C++
Interpersonal skills to interact with team members and customer
Organization and time management skills
Ability to listen and comprehend
