GDIT is in need of a Sr. Web Developer to support U.S. Army Europe as a member of our EMITS program team.
The SW Developer is responsible for creating intuitive and innovative front-end web applications integrating with GIS applications, SharePoint, and various other data sources. The Web Developer will be responsible for leveraging the latest technologies and frameworks, including Node, Angular, and JQuery. The Web Developer will also be responsible for gathering requirements, contribute to system design plans and identify new technologies to incorporate within the architecture.
Required Skills
Active TS/SCI Security Clearance
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, Information Technology or related field or related field instead of a degree
Ten years of web development experience or equivalent college-level coursework.
Work experience as a Senior Web Developer
Expertise in at least one programming language, preferably JavaScript or PHP
Solid knowledge of HTML/CSS
Experience with mockup and UI prototyping tools
Understanding of security practices
Experience in AngularJS, EmberJS, or other JS Frameworks
Experience with web services (SOAP, REST, XML, and JSON)
Perform web development using JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, AJAX on various platforms such as SharePoint.
Ability to quickly learn new technologies, work independently, and quick turnaround maps, application prototypes, or deliverables.
Have the ability to source data from various sources to develop applications for visualization, analysis, and presentation of environmental data.
The candidate needs to have experience with front-end SharePoint development to include SharePoint Rest services. Experience with GIS web applications and DoD environments is a plus.
