The Office of Technology Innovation and Engineering (DS/CTS/TIE) provides cybersecurity consulting and assessment capabilities to both current and future Department of State (DOS) programs that embrace emerging technologies and technologies affecting DOS’ facility security.  The TIE Facilities Technology Division (FTD) develops and maintains the department’s security architecture essential to detect, defend, and deter departmental assets against all cyber and crossover technical threats globally at all embassies and posts. The following teams within FTD as follows, the Regional Cyber Security Officers, (RSCO), Certified Tempest Technical Authority (CTTA), Telecommunication Application Development and Web Services (ADWS) and Telecommunication Security Program (TSP)

The FTD Task Manager will ensure the following listed below:

  • Will perform all duties assigned of a hire people manager for both GDIT employees and all subcontracting partners
  • Prioritize and delegate multiple taskers using the current task tracker to allocate tasks to all of TIE staff within FTD
  • Provide RCSO collaboration with App-Support Scanning team to streamline Nexpose results for RCSO pre-CSA data pulls
  • As an ongoing service for the entire Department of State conduct TEMPEST Product Evaluations and TEMPEST Countermeasure Assessments
  • As an ongoing service for the entire Department of State conduct annual TEMPEST manufacturing and testing audits
  • As an ongoing service for the entire Department of State conduct secure VTC Assessments
  • Oversee and manage RCSO Source application Deficiencies Notification Automation Governor (DNAG) enhancement
  • Delegate and conduct RSCO High Priority Cybersecurity Assessments (CSAs) at all CTS high priority posts where last assessment is more than 15 months
  • Develop and enhance internal office automation tools and interfaces
  • Provide telephone security assessments
  • Initiate FTAP policy review process in support of applicable OSPB and related DOS telephone security policies
  • Complete certification of instruments and remediation of defective mobile and stationary units
  • Support the DS Command Center (DSCC) DS Audio Bridge (DSAB); DSCC Audio Bridge redesign (for remediation of current design IRM/TWD will add VoIP CTS to TS/SCI Physically Protected Space)
  • Conduct Special Security Assessment for Building Automation Systems (BAS)
