Individual will be responsible for supporting testing activities for a large complex system of systems Development, Engineering & Integration effort comprised of multiple Integrated Product Teams to deliver Cloud-based services outcomes. Under the supervision of the JETS Chief SoS Engineer, candidate will be accountable for overall system performance testing against established performance and capability requirements, adhering to or developing testing process documentation, coordination of testing activities with Engineering Teams, and overseeing technical solution testing and delivery to meet implementation and fielding requirements.

Typical duties include:

  • Responsible for establishing Testing processes, methodologies and criteria for the JETS project.
  • Directing teams on testing activities as project moves towards IOC and FOC milestones.
  • Lead and coordinate testing, and troubleshooting of complex systems
  • Development and support of Automated Testing processes and outcomes
  • Develop test criteria, test plans, sequence, results, and outcomes to achieved IOC and FOC validation that features, benefits and capabilities are being delivered in accordance with performance requirements.
  • Troubleshoot systems, services and software test issues
  • Troubleshoot and resolve test-related problems.
  • Conduct tests per plan and processes data and findings
  • Document and communicate test plans and results
  • Define strategy to achieve automated testing outcomes to meet sustainment outcomes
  • Work with project managers to review testing resource allocation to ensure proper KSA are supporting project testing outcomes
  • Develop and contribute content to milestones briefings relevant to testing scope and outcomes
  • Developing stakeholders and project teams to develop and manage testing requirements from a top-down or bottoms-up approach.
  • Support system engineering management through MBSE, requirements management, impact assessments, change notices, trade studies, architectural analysis, design reviews, entrance/exit criteria, risk and opportunity management
  • Support Chief SoS Engineer in the testing of JETS services, working closely with development teams in the development, integration, and testing phases to deliver advanced leading-edge Cloud services capabilities.
  • Interfacing directly with the Customer, stakeholders, and end-users regarding capability architectures, requirements, use cases, and stories to derive, develop and decompose test criteria
  • Evaluating risk assessments and overseeing risk mitigation activities
  • Conducting trade studies to determine improvements to system capabilities and system delivery processes (, architecture, automated deployments) with emphasis on assured testing outcomes can be established and achieved

Experience Requirements: 

  • 5+ years Testing Engineer experience
  • Experience leading or working with a team and presenting technical content to large groups, such as technical readiness review (TRR)
  • Experience in systems engineering to include developing integration, validation, and verification test plans for a large, integrated system
  • Experience with computer science fundamentals, distributed systems, cloud-based services
  • Experience utilizing and manipulating hardware and software test configuration and equipment to quickly isolate faults
  • 5+ years of directly relevant systems engineering experience such as allocation of software requirements, development of use cases and stories, interface definition, and systems integration & testing activities.
  • Experience with and technical understanding of cybersecurity and cybersecurity architectures.
  • Experience with Systems Engineering Lifecycle (SELC) processes and practices, Change Management practices, requirements management, traceability, and associated tools.
  • Experience and/or familiarity with architectural views including operational, technical standards, and system/services views and business, data, applications, and technology architectures using applicable standards (e.g., DODAF, FEAF)

Educational Requirements:

  •  BA/BS(or equivalent experience)

Certification Requirements: 

  • IAT Level 1 certification - REQUIRED
  • Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) Certification is HIGHLY DESIRED
  • Active INCOSE certification is HIGHLY DESIRED
  • CISSP certification is HIGHLY DESIRED
