GDIT is looking for a Senior Information Assurance/Cybersecurity Specialist to serve under the guidance of the Lead Security Manager for a large, complex task order. The successful candidate will directly support the programs information security compliance activities and assist in maintaining the security postures of large, heterogeneous systems that include: both on-premise and cloud-based architectures; various Windows, Unix/Linux servers; and specialized appliances, applications, and other technologies.
Specific responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Serve as and perform duties of an Alternate Information System Security Officer (ISSO), assigned to one or more FISMA Accredited Information Systems
Support and assist other Information System Security Officers (ISSOs and/or AISSOs)
Support and assist systems security assessment and authorization activities
Maintain security posture documentation detailing the asset inventory, security control compliance, and weakness remediation of the assigned information systems
Prepare security documentation for annual self-assessments and periodic accreditation assessments.
Evaluate and assess environment change requests to support configuration management and asset inventory
Provide additional systems security support as required
Required Skills / Qualifications:
DHS HQ EOD required to start; must be able to obtain DHS HQ Final Suitability
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) and 5+ years of relevant experience
Experience with configuration and vulnerability scan analysis using industry standard tools
Experience supporting Microsoft Windows in a domain environment
Understanding of infrastructure, networking, database, cloud, and web technologies
Desired Skills / Qualifications:
8+ years of relevant experience
Degree in computer engineering, computer science, information systems, or related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience
Experience as an ISSM, ISSO/AISSO, or ISSE
Strong understanding of NIST 800-53 rev 4 or rev5
Experience in DHS information system security policy
Understanding of Unix/Linux administration
Understanding of configuration management and change management
Understanding of public key infrastructure (PKI) certificates
Technical writing experience on topics related to security technologies and protocols.
Possess a high degree of originality, creativity, initiative requiring minimal supervision
