Eagle Alliance is looking for a Safety Specialist that implements, manages and monitors safety programs, policies, and procedures that meet OSHA and other applicable requirements. This position is a required role under our new contract.. Oversight of the Safety policy and to  ensure all health and safety regulations are met under this globally. Ensures the organization complies with all current safety regulations and that all employees are aware of safety requirements and are prepared to follow safety procedures. Collects data and reports on all safety and accident events. May have additional responsibility for fire prevention, hazardous waste management, resource conservation, or other safety related activities depending on the industry and location

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Communicate, administer, and maintain existing safety programs and procedures for assigned sites
  • Develop, implement and continuously improve safety programs
  • Create and deliver safety related reports and presentations
  • Develop and present safety related training and educational programs
  • Conduct, monitor and follow up on site safety assessments
  • Work with site management to ensure compliance with regulations and adherence to company expectations
  • Provide leadership and direction in proactive safety-related activities
  • Travel to project sites to meet duties/responsibilities
  • Perform all other related duties as assigned

Desired qualifications

  • Ability to obtain/maintain TS/SCI with Polygraph is REQUIRED
  • BA/BS, 5+ years’ experience in Safety, Facilities, or Operations OR equivalent combination of skills and experience
  • Demonstrated experience as an independent self-starter with the ability to pivot and adapt quickly
  • Organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Drive to excel in a client-facing role
  • Expert knowledge of occupational safety regulations
  • Knowledge of and experience with safety management systems (ISO 45001, OHSAS 18001, ANSI Z10)
  • Knowledge of electrical regulations and standards is preferred
  • Ability to function within a matrix organization in which functional and business leaders have equal authority within the organization
