Marine Painter must have three (3) or more years of experience as a marine brush and roll painter applying epoxy and non-epoxy coatings.
Must be skilled in the mixing and application of single and multi-part paint coating systems.
Must have three (3) or more years of experience in the removal and installation of marine lagging hull board insulation, paste, tape, epoxies and glues in order to provide a complete finished product.
Must have proficiency in using power tools such as air sanders, electric grinders and needle guns.
Must feather paint removal areas prior to application of paint and marine coatings.
Must have experience in accomplishing cleaning to standards.
Ability to apply coatings while maintaining desired MIL thickness.
Experience working in a physically demanding environment; transiting up and down multiple ladders, decks, confined spaces, working at heights scaffolding, and use of half-face and full-face respiratory equipment.
Must be an energetic self-starting individual able to work independently or as a part of a small team.
Must have ability to manage cold work planning and scheduling for daily and weekly intervals.
Must have ability to supervise a crew of 2 to 4 personnel as required.
Reports directly to on site production manager.
Marine Painter must the following requirements/skills:
HS/GED Required Experience in Brush & Roll painting in a Marine environment 3 plus years of experience in painting preferred. Experience with ships or working in a shipyard preferred.
Must have own transportation Must be US Citizen
