Role Responsibilities:
This position involves providing the operation and maintenance (O&M), development, and documentation of the software/hardware design of 3 Support the Army’s Biometric Collection Capability (BC2) systems: Near Real Time Identity Operations (NRTIO, Facial Recognition Binocular System (FRBS), and Voice Identity Biometric Exploitation Services (VIBES). Serve as the team’s subject matter expert on cloud technologies. In this role, the ideal candidate will oversee the day-to-day functions of the programs’ AWS cloud management and serve as the point of contact between the organization and the IT staff for all AWS related activities. Drive continuous improvement and optimization of a cloud platform responsible for running highly complex mission critical software applications.
•    Collaborate with the PM, external stakeholders, leadership, engineering and product management teams to ensure cloud engineering execution meets business needs and is delivered in consistent and predictable manner
•    Automate aspects of the NRTIO cloud infrastructure, such as releasing and monitoring
•    Manage key performance indicators (KPIs) that provide in-depth visibility into system health
•    Partner with Security team to implement monitoring and compliance with appropriate security standards
•    Assist the team PM and Government stakeholders in the selection of appropriate cloud technology investments to ensure the BC2 technology remains in the early adopter phase of the technology adoption curve
•    Work with the teams PM to ensure cloud technical strategies, architecture guidelines and standards are realized
•    Plan and lead technology evaluation for various critical areas working closely with cross functional teams
•    Manage and sustain the stability, availability and performance for this cloud system
•    Monitor performance of information technology systems to determine cost and productivity levels, and to make recommendations for improving the IT infrastructure
•    Help define IT infrastructure strategy, architecture, and processes
•    Participate in analysis, fielding, and sustainment of all Biometrics systems ranging from standalone systems to cloud based services
•    Lead the migration of traditional applications and services to cloud-based services
•    Provides technical leadership in the integration and test of networks and cloud solutions  
•    Provide identification/resolution of problems within existing systems, enhancement of existing systems, and design/implementation of new cloud systems.
•    Collaborate with QA, Development, DevOps, Security, and Architecture teams to ensure proper, defined performance specifications are maintained.
•    Support the timely delivery of all applicable cloud related contractual deliverables. 
•    Provide data analysis, reporting, and support for the suite of biometric products
•    Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, be customer- and detail-oriented, and possess good decision-making abilities.  
•    Supervises maintenance of systems.  

The Ideal Candidate Must Have:
•    An active U.S. government SECRET clearance.
•    Education: Bachelor’s Degree.
•    10+ Years of Experience.
•    Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) for administration of AWS native services such as Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), Amazon Simple Storage (S3) and Amazon Simple DB/RDS data bases, AWS Identity and Access Management IAM.
•    AWS certifications 
•    Experience with AD, DNS, DHCP, LDAP, TCP/IP, F5, PKI services
•    Experience with configuring and applying Security Technical Information Guidance (STIGs).
•    AZURE certifications
•    Developing integration interface across JAVA, .NET, C++ and similar platforms
•    Experience transitioning applications to a cloud environment
