At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As an Application Engineer supporting the Government Health customer, you will be trusted to perform as part of a team to ensure the effective Modernization Support Services of the customer applications that support the customer programs, activities, and resources. In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Modernizes an enterprise-wide Oracle Financials system and related cloud applications.

  • Manage and implement Cloud Solutions for COTS, GOTS, Oracle Financial system and related applications.

  • Designs, develops, troubleshoots, and analyzes Oracle Financials system including related applications and databases.

  • Develops advanced documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code

  • Prepares and installs solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming

  • Performs advanced systems modeling, simulation, and analysis.

  • Develops software solutions by studying information needs; conferring with users; studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; investigating problem areas; and following the software development lifecycle

  • May coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals. May serve as a team or task lead


  • U. S. Citizen

  • Ability to secure a Public Trust clearance

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline

  • 10 years of related engineering experience.

  • Expertise in implementing cloud solutions.

  • Expertise in implementation and migration of Oracle EBS applications and databases including related tools for a cloud environment.

  • Experience with designing and implementing integration between cloud-based systems

  • Configuring Workflows and Business rules using low code platforms.

  • Building browser-based applications that conform to Section 508 compliance.

  • Prior experience with relational databases, preferably Oracle and/or DB2

  • Prior experience in Agile development environments.


  • Oracle Cloud, AWS and Azure experience

  • Certified Solutions Architect Associate certification from one of the major Cloud providers (Oracle, AWS, Azure, Google)

  • Agile Certification

  • ITIL Certification
