GDIT is seeking an ITSM Architect to help support an exciting new Cloud Service Offering contract, Defense Enterprise Office Solutions (DEOS), in Fort Meade, MD. This position will require the employee to report onsite at least 3-4 days a week.
NOTE: This position is contingent upon contract funding and tasking.
The ITSM Architect will:
Lead the planning, design, development, implementation, operational sustainment, and continual improvement of IT Service Management (ITSM) capabilities to optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery to DoD customers and end users.
Research, develop, and recommend solutions to integrate people, processes, and technologies to improve ITSM operations and Cybersecurity posture.
Provide expert-level analyst and advisory services, including advanced-level process automation leveraging industry best-in-class ITSM tools, including enterprise platform solutions, such as ServiceNow.
Analyze strategy, concept of operations, and tactics, techniques, and procedures development applying DoD and industry practices, including IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL), ISO 20000, and the DoD Enterprise Service Management Framework (DESMF).
Recognized for strong expertise in industry issues and trends.
Utilize functional area expertise gained through direct industry experience to assess the operational and functional baseline of an organization and its organizational components. Examples of the functional areas would include Human Resources, Finance, Supply, Service, etc.
Works with senior managers and executives to provide industry vision and strategic direction with regard to their enterprise.
Guides the determination of information technology inadequacies and/or deficiencies that affect the functional area’s ability to support/meet organizational goals.
Generates functional area strategies for enhanced IT operations in a cross-functional area mode throughout the organization.
Participates in account strategy sessions, strategic assessments and design reviews to validate enterprise approach and associated work products, such as ERP implementations.
Provides guidance and direction to other professionals, acts in a consulting and/or advisory capacity; coordinates resolution of highly complex problems and tasks, possesses ability to meet and operate under deadlines.
Active DoD TOP Secret clearance
IAT Level II Certification
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science or equivalent field
4 years experience
3+ years managing Office 365 services in a large-scale environment
Experience with commercial cloud services
Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative, fast-paced, growth-focused environment
Able to report onsite as indicated above
Experience with AWS, Azure and/or GCP cloud services
Experience with Agile software development
