Job Description

GDIT is currently looking for an experienced Program Manager/Senior Security Specialist with a current TS clearance and eligibility for SCI access, to join its mission critical team located in Washington, DC. All candidates must have the knowledge and experience to effectively monitor, manage, assess, and evaluate a variety of security programs, to include SAPs, Industrial Security, Personnel Security, Physical Security, education and awareness training, and document control.  A competitive candidate should have the following experience and knowledge, which must be clearly described in the resume, along with current security clearance status:

  • Provide technical, administrative, and operational management of the program
  • Plan, execute, and close projects that meet or exceed customer objectives
  • Create clear and attainable project objectives, build project requirements, and manage constraints of cost, time, scope, and quality
  • Develop the overall project plan and manage project operations
  • Manage the project stakeholders, project team, project risk, project schedule, project budget, and project conflicts
  • Ensure team members know and execute their respective roles and the roles of the other team members
  • Ensure production schedules are met and system resources are used effectively
  • Coordinate resolution of production-related problems
  • Ensure proper relationships are established between customers, teaming partners, and vendors to facilitate the delivery of information technology services
  • Effectively manage and ensure compliance of all security-related activities per client-specific security procedures and supplemental policies
  • Must possess and exhibit excellent communication skills, with the ability to draft and present effective (clear and concise) reports, both written and oral
  • Assist client representatives with development of local security policies and procedures
  • Conduct annual security inspections, physical security surveys, and other assessments, as applicable
  • Review materials for proper classification and markings
  • Develop and maintain a year-round security education and training program for client staff.
  • Conduct security inquiries; prepare reports, and conduct damage assessments, if / as applicable
  • Ensure proper storage and management of classified / sensitive materials according to applicable regulations and policies
  • Verify and ensure facility clearances in support of client classified contracts
  • Provide operational security (OPSEC) support and risk management, as applicable to client projects, operations, and activities
  • Provide guidance to Facility Security Officers, as required, to meet security objectives

Minimal telecommuting allowed to support response to crisis events similar to COVID-19 pandemic

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 12 years’ experience in security with an emphasis in SAP, Industrial Security, Personnel Security, Physical Security, education and awareness training, and document control
  • 6 years’ experience in program management
  • Active DoD Top Secret security clearance, with SCI eligibility
  • Must have knowledge and experience producing, handling, storing, transmitting, and transporting classified materials, up to and including Top Secret Special Access Programs (SAPs) and Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI)
  • Must have experience working with senior government and military personnel, and have exceptional written and oral presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PMP (Project Manager Professional)
  • Security Information Management Systems (SIMS) database experience
