Job Description

The Maintenance Trades Helper assists one or more workers in the skilled sheet metal trade by performing tasks and duties such as

  • Assisting senior employees in operation of CNC Punch Press, Waterjet Cutting Center, and Press Brakes to fabricate sheet metal products.
  • Keeping other employees in department supplied with materials and tools.
  • Cleaning of work areas, machines, and equipment.
  • Assisting skilled senior employees by holding materials or tools.

Duties include:

  • Cutting of sheets & blanks for shop machinery
  • Operating such as, CNC Punch Press, Waterjet Cutting Center, Press brakes, Presses, shears, hand brakes, rollers
  • Break-out of parts off Punch Press & Waterjet
  • Deburr and cleanup of parts, this includes
    • Blueprint reading
    • Grinding of aluminum and steel
    • Sanding of aluminum and steel
    • Drilling holes to size

Delivery of parts to other departments and areas of facility

Moving and organizing of sheet metal material racks

Must be a U.S. Citizen

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $12.55 - $20.84, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
