At GDIT, our people are at the center of everything we do. As a Data Analyst Advisor supporting CMS, you will be trusted to work on leading data science tools to detect and prevent fraud, waste, and abuse (FWA) in the Medicare and Medicaid programs.
The Data Analyst Advisor will be on the T-MSIS (Medicaid) team for GDIT's PIMAS (Program Integrity Modeling and Analytic) Contract. The role will work closely and assist the Medicaid Lead.
Assisting Medicaid Lead in leading team of approximately eight FTEs, made up both GDIT and sub-contractors, working directly with CMS and UPICs (Uniform Program Integrity Contractors) on work priorities and present results, and working with FPS contractors to implement models in the FPS system.
Contributes to the completion of major programs and may function in a project leadership role.
Analyzes organizational data and conducts advanced statistical analysis.
Applies mathematical calculations to recommend solutions to technical problems of high complexity.
Models and evaluates the potential impact of data changes.
Performs additional duties as assigned.
Develops innovative strategies and quantifies the competitive performance of the organization's operations and/or markets.
May coach and review the work of less-experienced professionals.
May serve as a team or task leader. (Not a people manager)
Experience with the following is preferred:
1) T-MSIS (State Medicaid Data)
2) FPS (Fraud Prevention System)
3) MS Office Products (Excel, Word, and Powerpoint)
4) UCM (Uniform Case Management)
5) CMS JIRA
6) CMS Box
BA/BS (or equivalent experience), 8+ years of experience
1) 5+ years of working with Medicaid Programs (either at the State or Federal Level)
2) Experience with T-MSIS or state level Medicaid data
1) Experience with Medi-Medi (preferred)
2) Experience working with or for UPIC (preferred)
3) Project Management Experience (does not have to be certified)
4) Experience presenting to outside parties
5) Research skills, ability to understand state policy and develop models in consideration of those state policies
6) People management experience (preferred) while no initial team to manage.

The likely salary range for this position is $100,000 - $150,000, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
