Our work depends on an Enterprise Architect joining our team to support the Department of Energy’s National Nuclear Security Administration.
The National Nuclear Security Administration IT Managed Services (NIMS) is an exciting program performing IT support for the Department of Energy's organization responsible for enhancing national security through the application of nuclear science by maintaining and enhancing the safety, security, and effectiveness of the US nuclear weapons stockpile. This support is provided in several locations across the US giving employees great options for geographically diverse work locations. The primary goal of the program will be to support the NNSA Associate Administrator for Information Management and Chief Information Officer (OCIO) in modernizing its IT and Cybersecurity Infrastructure and transforming current IT and Cybersecurity services to a managed service environment.
At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As an Enterprise Architect you will work with stakeholders to facilitate alignment of business strategies, operational processes, and IT strategies related to current and future-state architecture changes.
Further responsibilities include:
Work collaboratively with subject matter experts in various fields to capture and design integrating strategies across multiple IT systems.
Capture existing designs across multiple systems in formal enterprise architecture modeling tools.
Manage and rationalize requirements defined across multiple customer sets and IT systems.
Leverage enterprise methodologies and patterns.
Utilize data to develop architecture models, visualizations, and analyses to clearly articulate the current and future needs.
Analyze customer needs and provides guidance on industry trends and opportunities.
Identify and document architectural requirements supporting future Enterprise needs, including goals, approach, Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M), and desired end state for each milestone.
Develop high level system design diagrams.
Evaluate analytically and systematically problems with work flows, organization and plan and develop appropriate corrective actions.
Work with enterprise planners to develop high level schedules and plans for system modifications and improvements to support future requirements.
Learn new tools to capture enterprise architecture models and diagrams.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
Bachelors and Master’s degree required – may substitute additional years of experience,
15 years of Systems Engineering experience required.
DOE Q, L, or TS clearance.
